Coming to therapy
You may be coming come to therapy feeling like there is something wrong with you, you are likely to be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low. You may have a clear idea of what you want to focus on, be it relationship issues, confusion on neuro-diversity or dealing with one of life’s major stages; but maybe you don’t really know what’s going on but just need someone to talk things through with.
I’m here to offer you a compassionate, uncritical, impartial and sometimes challenging relationship to help you process whatever is going on for you in an empathetic way.
The quality of our relationships – both past and present, has a huge effect on our sense of self, our self-worth and our ability to manage powerful emotions. Many of my clients have experienced difficult relationships at some point in their lives, and I can help you to reflect on your own behaviour and relating patterns and support you in letting go of unhelpful defences. I prefer to consider what has happened to you rather than what is wrong with you, as well as focusing on how to move forwards in life through forming fulfilling relationships and making better, freer choices.
As an integrative therapist, I can draw on a range of modalities depending on your needs and situation, therapy with me is collaborative with an emphasis on building a secure, trusting relationship between us.
